Kuina is a fictional character from the Japanese manga series One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda. She is the daughter of Koshiro, the master swordsman of the Wano Country, and a childhood friend and sparring partner of Zoro, one of the main protagonists of the series.
Kuina was introduced as a skilled swordsman at a young age, surpassing even some of the adults in her dojo. However, she was distraught that she could not pursue her dream of becoming the greatest swordsman in the world due to her gender. When Zoro asked her why she couldn't be the best even if she was a girl, Kuina told him that men and women were fundamentally different, and that he should be grateful that he was born a boy.
Kuina's tragic fate was revealed when Zoro returned to their dojo years later and found out that she had died from falling down the stairs and breaking her neck. This event inspired Zoro to take up Kuina's dream and become the greatest swordsman in the world in her place.
Despite her brief appearance in the series, Kuina has become a popular and influential character among fans of One Piece. Her story has been referenced throughout the series, and her impact on Zoro's character development has been significant.
